On this site you will find an collection of digital photographs, primarily portrait images with occasional nature and event photography. 

I have been working with digital photography for about 10 years now.  Previously back in the early 1980's I had played around with photography as a hobby but got tired of the expense and mess associated with developing my own film.

When digital cameras first became relatively affordable I bought one - more out of curiosity then anything else. Even with the limited resolution and functionality in my first digital camera (a Sony Mavica FD-75) I was bitten by the again by the photography bug.

My second digital camera was a Sony Mavica FD-95 - which even with it's shutter lag and clunky floppy disk media, allowed me to start doing some portrait photography.  With the release of Canon's 'pro' consumer Digital Rebel SLR camera my interest in hobby photography was rekindled. I currently own a couple of Canon digital SLRs, a collection of lens and the usual assortment of flashes, lights and backdrops. My primary interest is in portrait photography, with the occasional foray into nature or event photography. I particularly enjoy working on photo editing with various software tools - primarily Adobe Photoshop. 

At this point, photography is only a hobby, although I will do portrait photography on a part time basis, mostly for friends and family. I have had a few photographs selected for publication in photo hobby magazines, as well as local newspapers but primarily, it's just a way of relaxing.
