Welcome, I am the happily married mother of 4 wonderful children - a son currently serving in the US Army and 3 daughters still at home. I am a military brat, having grown up around military bases all over the country. I met my husband in 1993 while living in Jacksonville, NC - right next to Camp Lejeune. My interests include watching CSI, Law & Order and In Plain Sight , as well as knitting and reading trashy romance novels - currently my favorites are the Harlequin Historical Romance series. Lately I have gotten hooked on reading them on my iPod Touch using the Amazon Kindle app for the iPod Touch. Yes - me the technophobe has gotten bitten by the iPod bug! I also enjoy taking care of my 3 critters - a miniature schnauzer named "Lady Catherine's Princess Arwen" and a Shih Tzu / Chihuahua mix )(my husband refers to it as the 'Chinese Taco') named "Xena". Technically "Xena" belongs to my daughter Carlyn, but we know how that works. I also have a rather idiosyncratic cat named "Na'toth". Recently I had the opportunity to take a trip of the lifetime - a month long trans-Atlantic cruise with my parents and my sister. We started in Florida, visited New York City, the Azores, Spain, Portugal, Dover (England) and finished in Kiel, Germany. We then spent a week in Berlin before coming home.
